Identification of patients and their needs, symptom treatment, care planning, planned discharge, clinical supervision, intramural and extramural coordination and cooperation with palliative care stakeholders.

SPICT Uses

SPICT (Croatian translation) is used as a main tool for identification of patients with needs for palliative care in our 1100-bed hospital.

Other Information

There are three registered nurses and one physician are working full-time in palliative care. No beds fixed in a palliative care department – inpatients are dispersed all over the hospital (avgerage 25-30 patients any day); we call it “palliative care in a cloud”.
