Founded in 1987, Antea is an association that provides free home and hospice care to cancer and non cancer patients with advanced disease. Every day Antea assists 140 outpatients and 25 inpatients. Antea works on educational, training and research projects since 2000.
SPICT Uses
Antea is using the SPICT to develop projects aimed to implement educational and research initiatives for the spreading of early palliative care approach in primary and secondary care.

Palliative Care Unit AUSL Modena/ Rete di Cure Palliative AUSL Modena
Services Offered
The Palliative Care Network of Modena is a public health network that ensures the provision of palliative care to a population of 700,000 inhabitants, comprising one community hospice, one hospital-based hospice and seven palliative care units (UCPDs) providing home-based palliative care, outpatient consultations and consultations for hospital inpatients.
SPICT Uses
We use SPICT in training staff on hospital wards to identify patients for palliative care. We use SPICT in care homes for the older persons to identify residents there and supporting the staff caring for them.
